Organizations Prepared to Serve 9-11 Victims

The following Victim Assistance Programs are prepared to serve anyone experiencing emotional reactions to 9-11 commemorative events.
These VAPs will provide crisis intervention, in-person counseling, therapy, telephone counseling, advocacy, and information and referral to other necessary community support systems.

LIFENET is a free, confidential, 24 hour help line for New York City residents that offered significant services for people impacted by 9/11 and continues to be staffed by trained mental health professionals who can help callers find various mental health services (1-800-LIFENET).
9-11 Healing and Remembrance Program
9/11 Healing and Remembrance provides mental health support and information regarding 9/11 10th Anniversary events (1-866-212-0444), family support centers near commemorative events and travel and lodging for those who qualify.
9-11 Health
9/11 Health provides the latest information about scientific research, monitoring and treatment for people who may have health problems related to the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center and the recently passed federal James L. Zadroga 9/11 Health & Compensation Act.
