You will need Windows Media Player 9 or above. It is suggested that you upgrade to the latest version Turning captions on/off in Windows Media Player 11. - Open Windows Media Player. If you have the "File, View, Play" menu bar up top, go to step 3. If you don't see the "File, View, Play" menu bar at the top, which is the default, then go to step 2.
- Where it says "Windows Media Player" in the upper left window pane, Right Click to see the classic menus.
- Go to PLAY, then choose “LYRICS, CAPTIONS, SUBTITLES” and choose “ON if AVAILABLE” or “OFF”.
- You may have to close Windows Media Player and re-open it by clicking on the archived video link again in order to see the captions.
Turning captions on/off in Windows Media Player 9 and 10: - Open Windows Media Player.
- Choose "Play" on the top menu.
- Choose "Captions And Subtitles" in the Play menu.
- Select "On If Available."
CVB Quicktime videos are Open Captioned:
Captions will be displayed regardless of the Quicktime player settings.

Turning captions on/off in Real Player
Open RealPlayer, and click the Tools menu, then Preferences. The Preferences box opens. In the Category pane, click Content. Under Accessibility, select one or both of the following check boxes: - Use supplemental text captioning when available - Use descriptive audio when available Click OK. - Open one of the Flash versions.
- The meeting will begin playing.
- Click the
