The Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® march follows the old saying, "you can’t really understand another person’s experience until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes," by asking men to literally walk one mile in women’s high-heels. While walking in these shoes is not easy, this event provides a fun and open atmosphere to engage the community in discussing the difficult issues surrounding sexual violence. This march also demonstrates that men are willing and able to be courageous partners with women in making the world a safer place while increasing community awareness of our recovery services.
